How a legendary club is regaining new life.
THE SLR.CLUB. COMBINING THE BEST.
PASSION. The SLR.CLUB is an exclusive circle of car enthusiasts. Over the years, many friendships have grown between SLR drivers, and commitment to Mercedes-Benz has been greatly strengthened.
QUALITY TIME. Club members share their precious free time at "money can’t buy" events organised by Mercedes-Benz, and live out their enthusiasm for the SLR and Mercedes-Benz.
COMMUNITY. Mercedes-Benz gives the SLR.CLUB extraordinary customer orientation. Borne by our most sacred brand values and a highly personal atmosphere, this also enhances the commitment to the top customers of Mercedes-Benz.
CONVICTION. The fundamental attitude and philosophy of those responsible at Mercedes-Benz has always been to preserve the special SLR spirit and constantly further it. In the interests of both parties, the SLR Advisory Board now wishes to contribute to maintaining the special nature of the SLR.CLUB.

THE SLR.CLUB. A SUCCESSFUL TEAM.
INTERNATIONAL. SLR customers are to be found worldwide, and on average own more than 8 high-value Mercedes-Benz cars. Before 2015 there was no comparable programme in the high-end segment of other brands.
EXCLUSIVE. Until 2015 the uniqueness lay in the quality und exclusivity of the events – combined with very personal, friendly interaction and a special spirit. That is what SLR drivers love about Mercedes-Benz and the SLR.Club.
PRESENT. Sneak previews of major Mercedes-Benz model series have always been representatively integrated into numerous events and Club magazines.
UNMISTAKABLE. The SLR is and remains an eye-catcher. It is the 300 SL of the future, followed by the Hypercar.
WE ARE SLR. As top customers of Mercedes-Benz, we are brand ambassadors in real time. As SLR drivers, we not only give life to the SLR itself. The other high-end cars of Mercedes-Benz are also used and exposed on a day-to-day basis by thousands of us. We take the SLR onto the roads at events and generate positive, supportive reports in the media. We make the Mercedes-Benz brand a living presence.

THE FOCUS OF THE SLR ADVISORY BOARD.
MORE POSSIBILITIES. The SLR.CLUB is given freedom to develop much more noticeable activities of its own and real scope for action. It should continue its existence within the Circle of Excellence until the end of 2017, then continue as an autonomous club from 1 January 2018.
FURTHER INVOLVEMENT. The Advisory Board of the SLR.CLUB continues to be involved in decisions concerning SLR tours and SLR events.
BETTER PLANNING. In placing its specific focus on the SLR.CLUB, the Advisory Board seeks more planning certainty with longer-term timeplans and longer lead times.
OPEN COMMUNICATION. Transparent pricing e.g. for SLR.CLUB tours and events in consultation with the Circle of Excellence.
SUPPORT AND SPONSORSHIP. For the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, the Advisory Board will be given extensive possibilities for the sponsorship of projects by the SLR.CLUB.
TO THE NEXT LEVEL.
The SLR.CLUB is given freedom to develop much more noticeable activities of its own and real scope for action. It should continue its existence within the Circle of Excellence until the end of 2017, then continue as an autonomous club from 1 January 2018.
SLR customers are informed about the realignment of the SLR.CLUB by the Circle of Excellence, so that if interested they can contact the new club administration.
Possibility of official acknowledgement as a brand club.
TO THE NEXT LEVEL.
The Advisory Board of the SLR.CLUB continues to be involved in decisions concerning SLR tours and SLR events.
As longstanding club members, the members of the Advisory Board are well aware of the major needs and requirements of other club members. They wish to be able to communicate these directly and immediately to Mercedes-Benz and Daimler AG.
As a result of a specific focus on the SLR.CLUB, any decline in the quality of SLR events and tours can be avoided in the future, both in terms of time and money.
The Advisory Board will work in consultation with Daimler AG to meet the needs of SLR owners (spare parts service, workshops etc.).
REVIVAL. BETTER PLANNING.
In placing its specific focus on the SLR.CLUB, the Advisory Board seeks more planning certainty with longer-term timeplans and longer lead times.
Free time is at a premium for every SLR driver, and among the most precious commodities of all. This means that club members consider very carefully how much of their time they will invest, and what for.
The ability for long-term advance planning is also a basic precondition for a lively participation in SLR events.
Transparent pricing e.g. for SLR.CLUB tours and events in consultation with the Circle of Excellence.
Transparency and consistently frank replies to queries are essential to maintain confidence in the price vs. benefit of arrangements for SLR events and SLR services.
Pricing to be openly communicated to the club members.
